I bid on it up to $2250 but I had a feeling it was going to go for a lot more than that. I watched this action on and off all day and the amount of money these old original porcelain signs bring is insane. $15,000 - $20,000 is not uncommon for some of the oil and tobacco signs. They don't necessarily have to be large. This one would have been really nice to have and looked excellent on my shop wall, but I'm in some ways happy I didn't buy it as I can honestly think of much better ways to spend that kind of scratch.
