Its a 1977 looks like the bumper sets out in front of the hood about a foot. Hood says v-8 on it but he says it has a mack 6cyl in it with a 6speed. just thinking of using around the farm would prefer a 600 but if the price is right might not matter. mechohaulic Posted February 20, 2023 Share Posted February 20, 2023 from a distance the major difference would be longer hood on 700. specs on a 700 VS 600 would have just as wide range as comparing two 600's. chassis rails, eng/trans combo. hood shows it was a V-8; changed to a 6 cylinder . will work for a local running unit. till you see door tag and vin rest will be a mystery. important thing will be price / condition / close inspection to check how change over was done. chassis model will tell what V-8 it had. one stack (Mack)or two 3 1/2 stacks (318DD).
