1976 R700 at Indiana auction

No affiliation just saw it listed in an auction advertisement located in Knox, Indiana. Nice looking long hood R700. It states 676 engine but it has V8 emblems on the hood? Also I have never seen that style of fuel tank before. Would be a real nice truck to clean up or restore.

Thanks for the post. Not sure what you meant by the fuel tanks but the fenders don’t look right and ordinary the batteries are at front of the fuel tanks on the long nose.RS I’m assuming that is

I would say that is a RS786LST By the looks of the hood and front fenders.

Wished I had seen this a day earlier.   Not an RS.   The square fuel tanks are period correct to a regular RModel.   A fair amount of V-8 trucks from that era were repowered with 6 cyl Mack power.  Over all looks a like a fun truck.  Can’t believe it’s an in person only auction.

Sure looks like an RS700L to me unless they used the same hoods on a regular R model back then. Top is the truck for sale 2nd is a Rs700L. They look the same to me just different tanks.

Brought 6500 dollars was a nice straight truck except for the top of the cab. It had been rusted out around the gutter and all filled with bondo. rain like atop though.  had a tip turbine engine and 5 speed.
