Popular Post 67RModel Posted March 28, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted March 28, 2023 I dump a quart of non detergent SAE30 motor oil in my tank every other fill up. I have also used regular, conventional 2 stroke oil as well. I do this in my antiques as well as my part time working 94 RD with mechanical E7 engine. I also did it with my Volvo tractor when I had it with a 1994 model year Series 60 Detroit engine. Obviously this won't help with fuel gel in the winter but helps to add some lubricity to the newer low sulfur fuel. I don't run my trucks in the winter so I'm not concerned about cold weather treatment. There is probably a more scientific or better method to use than dumping a quart in a 70 gallon tank every other fill up but that's what I do anyway. I could be throwing money away for all I know but that's what several old timers told me to do and it at least sounds good.
