excellent  photos; but I have to ask= the B-81 has guide poles on front steer axle which look to be part of a back up bell '??? purpose is ??

also back wheels have same .noticed after I enlarged photo ;; why ??

that is a tire auto inflation system.

the "bell" on the fronts is probably some sort of rotating system to prevent line from deforming/breaking when steering.

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Yup, top has a slight swivel to it.

We had that setup on an old Brockway tractor many many many moons ago.

it was a late 60's very early 70's tandem with 290 Cummins and 18 speed.  And a gazillion miles on it.

question on the white DM-800 . fuel tanks mounted on frame ( weight transfer?). exhaust brought back towards weight box = different . question is - what/why the unit on air cleaner intake pipe under intake bonnet???  a precleaner  or a type of turbo to intake more air?? must be high horse power !  can't recall ever seeing  such a set up

that white DM is more a prime mover than an on road truck. planetary rear axles, and 14-24 wheels.

i have used those air intakes before, the ones we had were pre filters. trapped the dust to prevent clogging the primary air filter beneath it

Yup, as said above!

The DM looks very clean. And one interesting A-model concrete mixer. I see it's stored inside. Is that any museum or a private collection?
