I do find it a little odd at my age. I still have to listen to her. That’s kind of like a little kid in his mother.

This was a realisation a few years ago for me

So I decided no more, no more asking permission, make sure the jobs are done and the bills are paid and so on

The Princess was not impressed with my new attitude, she is much better now, I'm not a prick about

I just don't ask permission anymore

Oh, that's a lightweight model.  Nice.

I'm still torn about how to go about changing transmission in mine.  Find another triplex and rebuild it, pull mine and rebuild it, or swap up to a Eaton?  No matter, I have to borrow a parking spot from a fellow I know.

So transmission was in really good shape inside it was supposedly rebuilt shortly before I bought it. The one that’s in there has a cast iron auxiliary, and the main box has aluminum. there’s definitely a lot of them around. I thought Dean was saying he had a couple of them. He was giving away just a couple weeks ago. You’re certainly a lot closer than I am to him.

I did take both covers off when I bought it and all the gars looked like they were brand new. It’s been sitting outside for 15 years. I don’t know if it’s got any damage on account of it. I had the shift towers covered up.

tryed to get a picture of this blonde she was huge,,,built like a brick shithouse,,,,but her old man was clinging to her and kept looking at me,,,,couldnt get a clear shot,,, but he might have been wondering what was up with my Tshirt,,,,i was wearing a brockway 760 shirt,,,,im sure in reno,he had never seen one,,,bob

Yes, yesterday was actually a beautiful day no wind about 64° but yes, our day is coming here soon. Supposed to be raining a little while weather hasn’t been too terribly bad but we have dipped down to 23° in the morning a couple days ago.

well i did empty my oil drain jugs,,,so i can get ready to drain the transmission,,40 bucks to dispose of 10 gallons,,,and i had to travel way across town to do it,i was going to go mess with it today but its too cold here today,,bob

well a little bit closer,,,,took me around 1-1/2 to get this thing in a decent position,,were i can start messing with it,,,took alittle bit of Enginuity with a engine crane, motorcycle jack, and a bottle jack,,,hadda put it down,,had some other shit i had to handle,,,bobthumbnail.thumb.jpg.8e2e3d4eeedc9c5ae2e52c1eab974b4b.jpgthumbnail.thumb.jpg.79c07271f6b7dcda794024e95844b269.jpg

The electricity is kinda a must have these days

Best get it sorted

Mind you,  as Joey suggests, they arent that dear to buy new these days

I do like my old CS Listers, still made new today in India

 CS is cold start

Start them when it's freezing with a crank handle just fine

They do about 650 rpm full noise

They had them on farms all over Australia, right up into the 90's in the more remote regions and probable still do have them

They just chug away

I had 2 cylinder ones on 8 inch irrigation pumps, chug chug chug, 24 hours a day

Twice a day pull the rocker cover off and squirt some more oil in

They are good motors and diesel as well
