Oh my God, talk about a lousy memory years ago, I had a date with a girl first one she wound up puking behind my international scout it happens, but then at the end of the evening she wanted a good night kiss I could not do it. We were friends after that, but I couldn’t really get into her. She wasn’t that cute but I took a while to shake her loose. What are you supposed to tell them when they’re just not that nice to look at.

I'm afraid I'd be permanently banned from the site if I responded with some input on that question.    Be a good question for Mr. Manly. they probably cancelled him too by now.

Yes, I’ve had a lot of them as a kid. Not sure if they would go down too easy now I’ve grown old and spoiled.

Now I would probably taste like trying to eat regular Cheerios with no sugar

remember that stuff back in the day of CORK gaskets. it held well : but you sure did not appreciate it if you were on the clean the valve covers next time. rubber gaskets of today I.ve always used silicone sealer ;;;; light film only!!! what I have been doing {for years} is to take a small center punch and put numerous divets in the base of the valve cover first. they act as "holders" for the rubber gasket.

thanks i was thinkinking more of a little sealer to keep them in place while im trying to set them down,,,,ive heard storys on here lately about sealers pushing out from the inside and running down thru the oil pickup and doing damage

that happens when someone uses a tube of silicone PER cover. yes have seen excessive goop used. besides the silicone / indian sealant  ; I used a red adhesive :: HIGH TACK = not as bad as the Indian sealer . no need for tons of it . light film on cover; set gasket in place . rubber gasket goes no where when installing covers.

Yes, that’s what I’m hoping for otherwise like the guys are saying you really don’t need anything on them. Well, I better get outside before it turns into one another TV session ha ha

now if you move a small table in front of the TV /chair  and bring out the DM800 ; you can still give positive updates on "DM progress" . watch TV and build a model. LOL

Bob.... I did not use sealer at this time. When i am sure that i will not remove the covers again, i may put a light coating on one side of the gasket, however, the rubber gaskets were good quality.

If those bolt holes are dimpled in, you want to take a big flat punch and drive them out a little. Also make sure the shouldered bolts screw all the way into the rocker shaft mounts and the shoulder sits tight on the mount. Lots of times incorrect washers get used on the bolts holding the rocker shafts to the cylinder head and the rocker cover bolt bottoms out on the incorrect washer.

🤔  maybe it was chef boyardee I was thinking about with the picture on the can

Made in Milton Pa because of the Tomato's. Our neighbor Ray Bowersox used to have a contract to haul for them. He was Milton Transportation and I kinda remembering him owning an IH dealership.

His antique collection was huge, and really nice stuff like this too. He had a 707 gas powered LJ that looked brand new. I think it was a national first place winner

Kinda like trying to find meatball sandwiches around here I don’t even order them anymore. My wife is the only one I can say fixes meatballs, the same way we used to do it in New England.

This is how I felt after leaving the Philly, NJ, NYC area. Egg Noodles & Ketchup
