possible to find out model of box ? sheppard/ ross ?  '90 too new for me to correctly answer. in the day the boxes had a 3/4?  lock nut on side adjuster had screw driver slot . big sheppard boxes had adjusters top and bottom but they were for pressure relief  settings.non-adjusting  power steering boxes ON occasion would improve with changing filter and fluid.

. Yea it needs a new box in my opinion, 466k ,for miles .now try to find one lol

don't know if I would consider 466k miles  totally relative to the steering box wear . could do a million mile cross country in a straight line very little turning at same time a unit running local or quarry type work steers more. if all checks ok from steering wheel to box ; wear defiantly in box ; I would attempt fluid change - whether new fluid of same viscosity or up the fluid to different type. auto transmission fluid to hyd or vise versa.
