Apparently they've started taking meat cells and by keeping them in some sort of solution they can keep the cells from dying and actually get them to multiply, literally growing meat without being attached to the animal! They're allowed to scrounge around it the dirt for their food, which yields a healthier bird and healthier earth for farming.
