Greetings and Salutations all BMT members. In the past Doug Maney used to scratch together a Thursday night gathering of us degenerates errrrr I mean distinguished BMT members which was usually held at The Tilted Kilt/Nun School but since they went down the toilet we were going to other places. Then the world ended, and I can't even remember if we have done this Thursday night thing since then? Anyway I am thinking the Alburtis Tavern on Main Street in Alburtis, over on the other side of the Mack Plant. If you want to check out their menu www.alburtistavern.com

I'd like to get a headcount, so if any of you are interested please respond here with the number in your party and I will set it up with them ahead of time.

Thanks!

TWO STROKES ARE FOR GARDEN TOOLS

Vicki from Florida will be with me and Zina, but Bob from Nevada doesn't get in until 9:30 and we have to pick him up at the airport, and Belle, Roman, and Mack have to be somewhere, so I don't know if we can even go. Roman has terrible separation anxiety.

They need a Twin Peaks in Macungie. And a Twin Peaks in Hellertown, and a Twin Peaks in Spout Spring.

Fun fact of the day- I just googled Twin Peaks franchises and a typical Twin Peaks restaurant generally makes about $1 million more per year than a Hooters restaurant! Wow!

Hold up on that car wash gentleman, I am "trying" to make plans to be there Thursday afternoon.  Since I can't get off for York, I might as well try Macungie.  Plans may change as time goes but currently working towards getting there for the first time!  Hopefully OD will have some Winfall wimmen to pop my 🍒

So add 1 to the list for dinner(So far).

I second that motion and amend the motion to state "other dog to be the principal investor, proprietor and chief bottle washer"

True that! Zina called the motel in Fogelsville to inquire about another night because we're going to Connecticut to see her Dad again and they were completely booked.

Probably a lot more people are going because of the ATHS convention in York the weekend before.

I already looked into getting a Twin Peaks franchise in beautiful downtown Spout Spring, but since I already bought an old truck I can no longer afford to. But if it weren't for that...

Here's all the waitresses from the Winfall Twin Peaks at their annual photoshoot. I just happened to be passing by and took a drive-by picture, I didn't have time to stop.

It is, those were great times and great people. Everybody seemed to be there. I remember when Vlad was there, I think that was the first time me and Zina were there. And maybe the last time.

So, I have a question, if it's ok to ask a question. Let's say somebody was going to Macungie and they didn't know the Allentown area very well- is there a restaurant in particular they should try, or something to see that they just shouldn't leave without seeing first? Besides the the world's greatest antique truck show I mean.

If you are staying at the hotel at 78 and 100 again, you need to try the Hops Fogelsville Inn, right near the hotel if you are staying at the hotel I think you always stay at. The Alburtis Tavern is always good, over on the other side of the Mack Plant. The Buckeye Tavern is good, located within walking distance of the Park but it is almost always crowded during Macungie.

Getting further away, if you want some traditional Hungarian food, Paprikas on Main Street in Hellertown is awesome. If you have a hankering for Scottish/Irish food, Braveheart Highland Pub in Hellertown is very good as well (it may be within eyesight of the FWD Hellertown Field Office.) Another good Scottish/Irish place is McCarthy's Red Stag Pub in Bethlehem. Greek Food- Yianni's Taverna 3760 Old Philadelphia Pike in Bethlehem (stones throw from 378)

Mexican- I highly recommend Torre in the Promenade Shops (big outdoor shopping center) 2960 Center Valley Parkway in Center Valley. Awesome Mexican food.

TWO STROKES ARE FOR GARDEN TOOLS

thanks for that,,,we have plenty of fabulous mexican here,,,,but try to find a decent sub here haha good luck....my wife is the only one in this area that can prepare a beatball sandwich  as good as back there,,,i dont even bother ordering them anymore here,,,i usually just order tuna.im thinking i might give the hungarian grub a shot.   bob

Thinking ahead, can I drop my trailer at the show and bobtail to dinner, then get back into the show that evening?  Gates left open?  Or would I have to wait until Friday morning?

Or just plan on getting there in time for dinner and get in line Friday morning?

Or get parked and thumb a ride to dinner?  Can I even walk in after dark to get to my trailer?  Not sure how tight you close up?
