Popular Post other dog Posted June 4 Popular Post Share Posted June 4 I know everybody's tired of hearing about the big green truck that didn't run. So yesterday I drove the old Ford up to the dumpster site and to Sheetz to get some non-ethanol gas for the lawn mower. It was the first time it had even been started since the last time, and it fired right up and ran like a clock. I even washed it, it was started to get the brown moldy looking crud on it, from being parked by the trees I guess. Probably the cleanest it's been in a year. The red paint is pretty faded too, and that's supposed to be half decent paint- Timmy painted Chief's Freightliner with it. The white stripes on the other hand still look pretty good - better than the red. And I painted them myself with Rust-Oleum spray paint. Maybe I should paint the big green International with Rust-Oleum. I took the Zinamobile over to the Winfall car wash and had it washed because they detail the interior for you too. mowerman Posted June 9 Share Posted June 9 Yes, I remember when he painted that thing it wasn’t that long ago rust oleum as far as that goes I painted a go kart frame 30 years ago with that shit and I sat outside for a long time and it’s still shiny real good stuff. I believe he said he put a Cummins diesel out of a Dodge pickup in it and also changed the rear. I think the man told us he was in his 80's, he's on up there, and the truck would do 80 too.
