Looks very nice. 

Wonder what does B-42P mean? Was it not a tractor in its original configuration? I used to see T after the model for a tractor. But I'm not too familiar with B-models.

but the guys picture taking skills could be a lot better. hard to see things with sideways pictures.

P is for platform meaning straight truck. 
T is single axle tractor.  
ST is tandem tractor.  
X is for excavator, usually had heavier specs. 
SX- tandem…. 
F- fire chassis. 
These thing changed over the years, but apply to B models.

Always thought the X stood for extra heavy duty, never heard the term excavator.  Terry

Looks very short for having a platform. But looks good as a tractor for sure. Also strange to see that fish plate reinforcement for that short (and light duty B42-?) chassis. Which actually more looks like a portion of a frame rail with top flange cut away than a factory fish plate. 

And the price (regarding TJC's comment) is not a price but a current bid. Which haven't met the reserve.

current bid  thanks for that apparently, I didn’t notice that either it looks like it has a complete restoration. I’m sure the guy is not gonna settle for 5000 although he might have a little trouble trying to get rid of it with a gasoline engine. Best of luck to him.
