I have owned the 1980 R model 5 yard Dump truck for over 12 years and just recently bought the 1987 Superliner. I work on everything myself but having troubles finding shop manuals. The 1980 R model 5 yard is double framed with the 237 and 8LL.  The 1987 Superliner has the E9-500 12 speed and mack rears on camelback.  Anyone out there with extra manuals they might part with would be greatly appreciated.

Plenty of copied manuals that are of good enough quality

But a R model is about as simple as you can get and manuals really aren't that necessary

I think there's also a lot of options so finding the correct manuals maybe a challenge, but close enough ahould be fine for almost everything

Free download from Mack on the E9 manual. Or you can go to your local dealer and have them order shop manual #5-102

Look through the Mack eMedia website, everything you need should available. There is no "book for R Models". The books are component specific.  Engine, Trans, Rears, etc.  There'll be a book on frames too I expect. There's books for the more modern engines and their computer systems too.

there are standard charts for torque specs...  just read the top of the bolt and compare it to the chart..  What you have will be in FtLb's and not angular torque.. Metal doesnt lie..  :)
