The trailer is a HART brand and was built in Webb IA. This one is a 34' and will mainly be a field to farm trailer.

I'm not against keeping tube type tires on the steers. My only reason for wanting to change these out is because they show some cracking and I cannot read the date code so I would rather be safe then sorry. I have a pile of 22.5 rims so it wouldn't be a huge deal to blast and paint a couple and update to 22.5 tires. I'll have to look into prices and compare 10.00x20 vs 11r22.5 and decide from there.

If those old steers are cracked, I would definitely go with 22.5.

Excellent looks great not sure about the overstock. I have to do the same thing with mine soon everything on there is probably older than I am. I’m just going to replace all elbows and lines get rid of everything.

Nice feeling when you get something like that accomplished… a big step now you don’t have to worry about any of them and if you ever have radiator issues just about all the cores are available… bob

That's good to know that the cores are available. When looking up from the bottom side I could see some green corrosion toward the tope of the core just under the water tank. I guess it will be the first to let me know when it gives up.

Them making you buy all the seals is ridiculous, I've never done that here, even if I'm forced to order 30 nuts instead of 24 (Hino's worse about this than Mack/Volvo is). If there's overstock of a part, it's not my problem, it's warehouse's now.

Yeah, plus I don’t see them sitting around very long. I’m sure there’s other guys that will be buying them and as far as the radiator or yes, mine looks about the same shape. There is green and a bunch of spots.

Worked on the Mack this weekend. The coolant flanges on the radiator were leaking so I removed them along with the other 2 block off plates. I blasted and painted the pieces, added new gaskets and stainless hardware. I was a little disappointed with my local Mack dealer as I had to order 10 of the top smaller gaskets when I only needed 2. Apparently they are against having stock of these, Oh well.

I replaced the coolant filter and that was quite a chore to removed but I finally got it. Filled with new coolant and it should be in good shape for the next many years.

My fuel line from the lift pump to the filter is leaking. Is this something still available from the dealer or do people just have them made? Would these be considered AN fittings? Iv browsed the net a bit and see kits to make these style. Are these ends crimped or just pushed on?

They are reusable fittings, just get the right size hose, you will also need a couple fittings to take them apart,or just get one made up,much easier..
