Curious if anyone knew of a Mack truck built trailer(s) for sale. I saw a discussion from a man back in 2016 about a pair in PA. Would love to know if one is around to buy. Thank you

I believe you were the one who mentioned them years ago. Do you have a location or a contact for them? If so could you please email to me that info? Jay@siebertyachtmanagement.com

i was in contact with the guy on FB but while I was figuring out shipping logistics, someone bought it.
I attached a pic of my Grandfathers Mack Trailer.
any info is very much appreciated.

Here's a Gindy "Mack" trailer. Nose of the trailer says Mack Transportation Co, Phila.   I don't think this is the trailer you're looking for.

I remember MACK Transportation in Philly. Near the Port Richmond area but to the west of I-95. They had a big illuminated sign you could see from 95.

A little off topic, but I think JC McHugh still has this Mack locomotive, I forget the story about them, I kind of remember Mack Truck bought them and repowered them and refurbished them at Allentown. I might be remembering wrong though

about 10 years ago the Trap Rock quarry on rt29 in Lambertville NJ still had the Mack locomotive in use shuttling rail cars inside the quarry.

when the quarry closed the railroad stopped maintaining the bridge over the canal, and last time i was up there 2 years ago the bridge had been removed. but i did not see if the locomotive was still inside the quarry.

i just checked on google maps and do not see it or any of the stone stockpiles that used to be there.

they also had a Cat D-8 locomotive in the Kingston quarry.

but that has been gone for at least 20 years.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Yeah I remember Trap Rock. They ran all yellow heavy spec DMs, didn't they? I never knew they had a Mack Switcher. I'll bet JC McHugh would know what happened to it. That's pretty local to him. He's in the old Strick Trailer plant in Fairless Hills Pa. Railroad equipment is his business and he's into the antiques

they ran autocars back in the 60's and 70's. i started pulling out of kingston in 75. i think they switched to the DM's around 79 or 80 yellow with black fenders and lettering.

the switcher may still be in the back of the quarry. it used to be out front with all the rest of the machinery, but i would imagine it was all run out back to the maintenance shop after the shut down day to day operations.
