I am wondering what engine options the Mack RD 800 coal trucks had available to them. I am wanting to 3d print a 1:14 scale model of one and have tried to find sales or spec sheets for them but have turned up empty handed. I am from Eastern Kentucky myself so these trucks are a part of my bloodline, a lot of my family drove them. Can’t ask them though due to the state of where I used to live. Thanks for your time. tjc transport Posted August 5 Share Posted August 5 they were available with a bunch of different engines. i have seen Cummins, cat, detroit, and mack engines in them. both inline 6 and V8's 1 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp.. m16ty Posted September 14 Share Posted September 14 (edited) The last 2 numbers in the model number is the engine, I think a RD888 would have a E7 350. I've got a RD822sx that has a Mack E9 V8 500hp.
