that is why i was asking other questions.......   there is...  if you put them on the wrong side it will knoock the rollers out of the shoes if it goes too far..  so yes, to left and right. if you notice the positiion of the brake chambers is different. front drive (front of the axel), rear drive (rear of the axel)...

I forgot to add, that the left and right part I just posted was for the s-cams, and the part I left out is for how the slack adjusters ratchet, (self adjusters)  they will not work correctly on the opposite sides. sorry, I was typing so fast I passed my brain in turn 2 heading for the straight away..

Look a little closer at that here in a second I did notice that the grease Certs are almost impossible to get to on one side because they’re facing or in between the damn psych adjuster and the brakes instead of on the outside where you can get to him. They’re on the same side on both. How do I say this Are on the same side of the slack adjusters on both the left side of the truck and the right side of the truck. They’re both facing the same way. Shouldn’t right in the left. Have grease shirts opposite each other and I’m doing talk to text so you might have to translate this .

Say it slow maybe it’ll come in maybe these are the wrong slack adjusters reason I think so maybe the wrong reason but they are on the same side of the slack adjuster on both sides of the truck. Does that make sense? So basically you can get to one pretty easy the other one is in between adjuster and the brake ones on the outside ones on the inside like they’re both on the same side of the slack adjuster that makes sense

Yeah, so they’re telling me there’s a right in the left slack adjuster on these either. I’m not remembering correctly or there was a right in the left on the W9. I just have forgotten but I don’t think so. What’s the difference right in the left slack adjuster maybe I’m just forgetful and an idiot. I don’t know.

Picture would help

Brand new fuel pump 6 new epus. Said the hand pump doesn’t build much pressure either just helps it along . This dude is probably one of the best I’ve ever seen with cat motors I mean salty  so I know he’s probably gone thru the basics he just doesn’t see many Mack’s  oil level will tell him that for sure anything else they said they will crank and crank and it just won’t start but once it does no miss nothin idles smooth

have you looked at the 2 timing sensors..  a lot of money was thrown at this engine...  EUP's wont cause a no start unless they 'grenade'...  then its a cam job at the least..

So you’re bro needs to check the cam and crank sensors the engine will take longer to start if one is not operating it will crank a lot longer to get its bearings before letting the engine have fuel!

Oh I have no idea why he replaced them I think he thought it was a fuel issue and doesn’t realize that those things are tough as hell but I told him and he already knows I’m sure that 72lbs of fuel pressure is sufficient that’s what he said he was getting I told him to stop throwing parts at it until I talked to you guys he just doesn’t know much about Mack engines has no way to hook them up and check codes or faults so he’s guessing and knows better than that.

So I fixed the bleeding treadle valve problem just came in from putting 2 new u joints on it wheel seal on pusher axle yesterday brakes are done on three of 4 on drives . And a guy I know backs into me breaks grill headlight assembly and punches big hole in fiberglass hood . Wasn’t a pretty truck to begin with now I look like I went salvage yard and did what I could tossed her together with duct tape and went to work lol one step forward 2 steps back 😑

I’ll tell him to look there as well if u don’t mind me asking what do or did you and fjh do to be as knowledgeable as u are with specifically Mack and what made you choose these trucks over any other if I’m askin too much I understand

I started working in the shop at a Mack Dealership, in 2000, and took in all the knowledge i could.  I had a natural attraction to that type of work.. i switched careers, 2+ years ago. I still build Mack engines at home in my shop..  but at a much slower pace..  I also have dozens of Mack svc. Manuals, and read almost all of them..

My self I have worked for all of the Mack dealers here for the last 40 years ! I stuck with them because it was my comfort zone I liked the simplicity  of the product ! Like anything once you get used to working on it its hard to avoid being drawn in! I swore when drive by wire came along I would quit! However You tend to evolve and continued on! So in a nut shell when ever I got a lay off I was always called back and was one of the first hires when the companys  folded and started back up again ! it happened here 3 times!
