Supahonky Posted August 19 Author Share Posted August 19 Ok I got it town down and cleaned up the threads in the end of the cap got a little beat up from getting it moving with a punch and hammer but I cleaned them up with a file so they should be good. The only part that I don’t think is great is the boot for the socket end is well worn and has a couple small holes. Any chance of finding a new one? Vladislav Posted August 19 Share Posted August 19 The boot is a trouble to locate. It was awalible from PAI a couple years ago (and wasn't cheap) but later turned discontinued. I would like to grab one or two NOS myself but got no luck so far. I could not get that to work in a modern TRW number through Mack, but I found a few online sources. mowerman Posted August 19 Share Posted August 19 Can’t tell you anything else these guys already mentioned I have seen those sockets before and they were snap on if I recall But as they’ve mentioned, you probably won’t need one unless it’s really stuck on there which case she’ll probably have to heat it as well. convoyduel Posted August 20 Share Posted August 20 When I had the loose ball on the pitman arm, I also had a drag link that had the ball cap broken into multiple pieces.
