What’s up guys, so my truck had a t2080 swapped form the original t2090. The Speedo and tranny temp doesn’t work? I haven’t taken a deep look. It  looks like the wires to the temp was cut.

my question is are the sensor and cable the same for Speedo and temp? Or do I need to switch and will the temp gauge still be good? I’d assume so but figured I’d ask

speedo should be electric. the pick up is in the output housing..  screw it in til it touches, then back it out 1 FULL turn.  My guess is you are asking if the plugs are the same?  yes..  you can jump the wires to see which gauge reacts, that is if you are having trouble identifiying them.

Mech,,  the temp sensor in this is a 2 wire.  it sends its signal to the VECU.. I bet you are thinking of the single stud type that grounds to the block.
