I have a 2004 Mack Granite with the E7/427. I do not know if it is AMI, ASET as I'm somewhat knew to the world of Mack trucks. It slung a rod on me sometime ago, so needless to say need new engine. I purchased a used 2002 E7 out of a road tractor I don't remember exact model of donor truck but was told it would work. So my question is are the 02 and 04 blocks the same? I ask this in hopes in I can pull existing, take donor engine do a in-frame, use my existing heads and all external accessories, and go from there. That is my current plan. I just wanna make sure there the same block before we get halfway in and find out ooppps no it's not. I've received somewhat mixed answers of FB so thought I would try here an see what happens. Any help or info is greatly appreciated. Was gonna upload some pics of truck but well its a computer and we don't get along the greatest.
