Looks like the one on display at the Va. Transportation Museum in Roanoke I believe.

People on here have posted that before computer image photos usually don’t come out very good those trucks had really cool colors now they’re T force and painted about as boring as you can get.

As a follow up, this complete unit was just recently acquired by the Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum from the Virginia Transportation Museum. When UPS purchased Overnight they loaned/donated the rig to the Virginia museum as they transitioned all the Overnight fleet to UPS Freight livery.  Also, this truck was featured in the coffee table book "Mack, Driven for a Century"

Wow, thanks for that. I just assumed it was one of overnights tractors to begin with. I ran with  a lot of those drivers out of Reno. Most of them have retired. I only keep in touch with one of them over there now which is T force now UPS bought overnight and motor cargo and combined them then sold them off so the one Driver I keep in touch with at T force actually drove for motor cargo now the latest Fedex corporation is thinking about spinning off Fedex Freight and get this that division is making more than the rest of the package division not sure why they’re considering selling up when they are doing the best of the rest

OK now I’m walking all over my own tread. I just thought I would add with this shitty economy. Fedex package is not doing the business. They did when the economy was booming. The package division was actually doing better than the Freight now it’s the other way around.

Bob, Yes with Amazon having their own trucking I can see where it is hurting both UPS and FedEx.. I have about 100 shares of FedEx stock, via Roadway Package Svc, which date back to the late 70's Roadway bonus stock I received by not going to work for another freight company (Matlack) when I quit being a Roadway dock foreman.

Now I am curious as to how a spin off will give me shares in both companies???

Brocky

I don’t know, bud. It’s just talk right now, but it has something to do with the shareholders. Best interest. Also I almost went to work for roadway packing when I was a sub holler way back in the 80s. I don’t know why I didn’t go to work for them, even to this day, they are all owner operators even the package trucks delivery are all owner ops

These things were everywhere in the middle 70s when I first got my license, just about every trucking company in Charlotte & Winston Salem ran them,, When they flooded the market with them when the Rs took over, I bought one for $2000 , That was the going price. ( My Dad in the late 60s )
