How can I determine what trans is in my 1970 MB?  It is a twin stick.   I searched the site and found some info about the type being on the left side.   Nothing that I can find there.

the right side has some casting numbers and the date 1/7/70

284KB 5122A.  On the side. IMG_2965.thumb.jpeg.7702f1262db63db1d795928a31d00d9e.jpeg

While the transmission subject has been brought up, I have 2 , 10 speed Duplex transmissions if anyone wants them, they were good, but they got washed around in the flood and I’m sure they will have to be flushed out or maybe taken apart. I’ll probably take them to the salvage yard if no one wants them.

Probably a TRD 720 which is a overdrive duplex, but if it is a 722 not sure what that last 2 means, and if it is a 2 then it is a direct trans.   terry :MackLogo:

It’s a two stick.   Assuming that’s a duplex.
