I had a ' 49 EE Mack dump which is one size up from ED in the E series. also a 49 EF flatbed. This cab is squarer than the E model Mack and also has a split windshield... Quite possibly you saw a Mack Jr.??????? The first picture is an A- 20 Mack pickup. The A series and the E series were very similar in design. The second is a Mack JR under restoration. Both Pictures were taken at Tony Champions facility in Rockhampton, QLD, AU on our tour in 2015. That might be an E model crew cab behind to nose of the A20 and there are 2 L cabs behind the back of the A20. mattb73lt Posted October 31 Share Posted October 31 I've see n a few Mack Jr's(REO built) at shows, but they are pretty rare and were not big sellers when new. The E series did have various lighter spec versions in a pickup configuration. The cabs were much smaller than the L series and had a one piece push out windshield. For one thing the L cab is much too wide for an E series truck. The earliest E models had wooden framed cabs.
