What in the world? The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is in the process of cancelling the payments from several government agencies, including the USAID. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt says the money given to Politico was spent on, "essentially subsidizing subscriptions to Politico on the taxpayer's dime. The DOGE is working on canceling those payments now. This is a government effort to ensure that we are going line by line when it comes to the federal government's books. DOGE is in the process of pulling the plug on all payments." Politico inappropriately received $44,000 from USAID last year, AND was given millions more from other federal agencies, public records revealed my Elon Musk show. Notably, the Department of Health and Human Services gave Politico $1.37 million. The Department of the Interior and the Department of Energy also gave Politico free taxpayer money. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky would agree to a ceasefire with Russia by Easter. A ceasefire by April 20 that would freeze Russia's steady advance, a ban on Ukraine from joining NATO, and a demand for Kyiv to accept Russian sovereignty on annexed land. Ukrainian troops would leave Russia's Kursk region, and a contingent of European soldiers would police a demilitarised zone. American troops will not be involved. The EU would assist Ukraine in its reconstruction efforts. One estimate is $486 billion over the next decade. The peace plan would begin with a phone call between Zelensky and Russian President Putin in early February, a meeting between the two leaders in late February to early March, and an official ceasefire by April 20. A declaration on the agreed parameters for ending the war would be released by May 9, after which Kyiv would be asked not to extend martial law or mobilize troops. President Trump is reportedly planning on continuing American support for Ukraine's military, as well as a pathway for it to join the EU by 2030.
