A lot more people who voted for Trump are starting to feel the hurt too. Loosing their jobs.  Loosing funding for local projects   There is lots of Ra Ra Trump right not but when grocery prices keep going up and mortgage rates keep going up they can cry to each other   Maybe these guys can immigrate to Monaco where they held their share holders meeting.

Well of course any of the BMT Investors can reside in Monaco, with a mere €500,000 in a Monaco bank account, and the purchase or renting of property there. But of course, our members over the last 15 years have acquired properties throughout the world. Focused and disciplined investment literally pays off.

The Trump administration on Thursday cancelled temporary legal protections for Haitian migrants living in the United States, laying the groundwork for them to deported within 6 months.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem rescinded a June 2024 Biden administration extension of temporary legal status for hundreds of thousands of Haitians in the United States. The Biden administration had cited dangerous conditions in Haiti that made it unsafe for them to return, granting them protections until February 2026.

In August, up to 500,000 Haitians, some who entered the U.S. illegally and others who were authorized to enter via Biden-era programs, will hopefully lose Temporary Protected Status.

Haiti is always dangerous. But the people can take control of their country, rising up and changing their present and future............rather than flooding the U.S.

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has asked the Postal Service Board of Governors to begin looking for his successor.

DeJoy became the head of USPS in the summer of 2020 during President Trump's first term.

President Trump is considering signing an executive order this week bringing the 250-year-old independent USPS under the control of the Commerce Department and Secretary Howard Lutnick.

"As you know, I have worked tirelessly to lead the 640,000 men and women of the Postal Service in accomplishing an extraordinary transformation. We have served the American people through an unprecedented pandemic and through a period of high inflation and sensationalized politics."

President Trump's Department of Justice has launched an investigation into UnitedHealth Group's Medicare billing practices in recent months.

The new civil fraud investigation is examining the company’s practices for recording diagnoses that trigger extra payments to its Medicare Advantage plans, including at physician groups that the insurance giant owns. [They have created a monopoly]

Last year, the WSJ learned that Medicare paid UnitedHealth billions of dollars for questionable diagnoses. Attorneys with the DoJ as recently as January 31 interviewed medical providers named by the WSJ.

In the Medicare Advantage system, insurers get lump-sum payments from the federal government to oversee enrollees’ Medicare benefits. When patients have certain diagnoses, the payments go up, creating an incentive to diagnose more diseases. {Expect to see that it's been a government-sponsored scam with kickbacks to government employees and elected officials]

Republican senators pushed a $340 billion budget framework to passage early Friday, working through an all-night session and Democratic opposition in a step toward unleashing money the Trump administration needs for mass deportation and border security.

Republicans used their majority power to push the package to approval on a largely party-line vote, 52-48, with all Democrats and one GOP senator (Rand Paul) opposing it.

“What we’re doing today is jump starting a process that will allow the Republican Party to meet President Trump’s immigration agenda,” said Senate Budget Committee chair Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

Tom Homan told senators that the administration’s deportation operations are out of money and need more funding from Congress to detain and deport immigrants.

Why did Rand Paul vote against the package? Watch the video. And he's right.

Ask yourself.....why is Rand Paul the only elected official suggesting the logical solution to border funding?

We were going to get a federal grant to put up fence for our sheep, but the program was canceled today.    It was a ‘climate smart grant’.   We all know someone who was negative affected by a climate disaster last year.  We can figure things out in our own, but what about people who really need these programs that are being eliminated.  People whose lives depend on farming and the federal prop are the only things that are keeping their family farms going.  Where are we going to get food from?  People whose houses get washed away in floods and look for federal aid to help rebuild.  I suspect many of us will be affected by these policies that everyone is so happy about until they are personally affected.  Michael Yarnall

Why would the federal government meddle in sheep fencing, presumably on private land, in Boyertown, PA? Was this part of the $5,000,000 earmarked for the American Lamb Board for "Measuring the Climate Benefits and Emissions of Prescribed Sheep Grazing"?

Are you suggesting that without federal farm subsidies we will not be able to get food?

“Major Major's father was a sober God-fearing man whose idea of a good joke was to lie about his age. He was a long-limbed farmer, a God-fearing, freedom-loving, law-abiding rugged individualist who held that federal aid to anyone but farmers was creeping socialism. He advocated thrift and hard work and disapproved of loose women who turned him down. His specialty was alfalfa, and he made a good thing out of not growing any. The government paid him well for every bushel of alfalfa he did not grow. The more alfalfa he did not grow, the more money the government gave him, and he spent every penny he didn't earn on new land to increase the amount of alfalfa he did not produce. Major Major's father worked without rest at not growing alfalfa. On long winter evenings he remained indoors and did not mend harness, and he sprang out of bed at the crack of noon every day just to make certain that the chores would not be done. He invested in land wisely and soon was not growing more alfalfa than any other man in the county. Neighbors sought him out for advice on all subjects, for he had made much money and was therefore wise. “As ye sow, so shall ye reap,” he counseled one and all, and everyone said, “Amen.”

― Joseph Heller, Catch-22

I disapprove of those kind of loose women too

Would you recommend reading Catch-22? I have never read it but always wanted to. Never found the time yet....

Yeah it's pretty good. I read it 30 some years ago, I should probably read it again

“They're trying to kill me," Yossarian told him calmly.
No one's trying to kill you," Clevinger cried.
Then why are they shooting at me?" Yossarian asked.
They're shooting at everyone," Clevinger answered. "They're trying to kill everyone."
And what difference does that make?”
