Come on man..... Robots are here, but people need to be employed to manage it all.  It will just mean that people need an education.. not unlike anything we have had to learn to be good at what we do...

Well, we’re all a little concerned about this. Let’s hope for the best. My wife’s company uses robots and guess what the employees have to spend half their time babysitting these things and the company just flat refuses to return them.

Just as we learned how to work on these Big Mack Trucks,, people can learn how to program and work on robots...  American jobs will be here for a long time.

I came here for the trucks but it appears there are a bunch of people who want to talk about politics. I thought I’d join in.  You don’t agree with your politics.   I don’t agree with mine.  I’d be happier if there was no politics on here but that’s not what you guys want so you’ll get too.  Trump should be in prison. He is a fellow, a cheat, a racist.  Everyone picks the stuff they want to remember.  I remember that he cheated veterans organizations.  He called people who died in WW2 ‘losers’.  He mocked John McCain for being a POW.  He cut funding to the VA.  He tried to bribe the new president of an allied nation.  He profited from being president with a hotel in Washington and charging the secret service exorbitant rates to rent rooms in his country clubs.  He crashes the stock market on a whim and tells the American people to not ‘be stupid’ while he goes golfing for the weekend.  He certainly isn’t making America great.  He is making it weak and opening the door for China to have greater influence around the world.

I’ll tell tell you after this latest contest with the Chinese they showed thier true colors and proved they are filthy thieves and don’t care about us at all  don’t know where most of thier work comes from… bob

I think John McCain showed his true colors when he gave the thumbs down with the deciding vote on "repeal and replace" with obamacare, and we're all paying for it now.

He voted that way because he didn't like Donald Trump, not because it was in the best interest of the American people.

Everybodys health insurance got cut considerably my company Fedex Freight actually got fined because the government said our insurance was too good. What the hell is that supposed to mean? I got two implants cause me $7000 out of my pocket whereas before the Bamba plan they were only supposed to be 3000 out-of-pocket.

Obamacare went into effect not long before I retired.  At the time, my coverage was provided by my employer and my wife's coverage, on the same plan, was paid by me, around $350/month.  When I retired at the end of 2013, I opted to stay on my employer's plan, which was pretty good insurance, but I would pay the whole cost for my wife and I, which had increased to $500/month EACH.  The following year, my employer changed carriers to a plan that would not cover my wife's insulin ($750/month) and you had no choice on who your doctor was, you went to their "clinic" and were seen by whoever was available.

We dropped that coverage and found our own private policy at BC/BS.  It was $1250/month for both of us, but that was still cheaper than $1000/month plus $750/month for her insulin.  We stayed with that until the end of 2018, when BC/BS left the private market in Georgia.  The premiums had increased to $1700/month and BC/BS was the LAST private health insurance provider in the State.  The "Obamacare" policies available on the market were limited to a State-run program designed for the Marketplace and the same insurer available through my employer that didn't cover the insulin.  No doctors in my area would accept either.

At that point, we were uninsured and stayed that way until I went on Medicare in August, 2024.  My wife goes on it in October.  Meanwhile, we have stashed the $1700/month in our bank account, paying all health costs from it.  During 2024, she had cataracts removed in both eyes and a bunch of dental work (root canals, crowns, etc.), which was paid for out of that account.  There is still $30,000 in that account.

Back when Obamacare was being legislated, the left claimed that there were millions of uninsured people in the US.  There still are!

Thank you for sharing Dave... It is a solid story.  Im blessed to work for my city. My coverage is $20/month on the buy up plan. My wife is fully covered  by it at $185.00 / pay check, every 2 weeks.  So just under $400.00/ month

For a lot of people it's cheaper to buy their insulin at Walmart and pay cash than it is to use their insurance and pay the deductible.

Big time predatory profits in pharmaceuticals. In Germany Ozempic is like 60 bucks for a month's supply, in the US it's like 1,500.
