I need to pull the top cover, shift tower on a 107 six speed to replace some leaking gaskets.

Is there anything in particular I need to watch out of in removal and installation?  Springs that will fly out and end up on the other side of the yard? shifter orientation?  Etc.

Many thanks.

if you are just pulling the stick out, your good to go..  4 bolts, and straight up and out,, as far as pulling the top cover,,,,,,   well,,,,,,   the shift rails go through the front and rear case's..  it's been many years since I had one apart, and they all were out of the truck.

fjh,,,   I am pokin my brain.   I guess the cover can come out, the rails just go in and out of the case during gear selection...   Gosh I'm rusty..  I really need to build another 107 just to get back in the groove.
