I get that people are too stupid to set the brakes on a vehicle nowadays so we have to engineer a way around it. They can't work a clutch pedal either. I don't have a problem with this technology, it's going to come along with the dumber people and all of the lawsuits from those who cannot take responsibility. But just wait 'til they act up. On an EV this is especially exciting! More on that later. I should have been a forensic ornithologist or something.

Intellipark thing drawing the low voltage batteries down on several EV's. Other's it works as it should. The AGM's die really quick when this happens. These trucks won't charge or do anything when the low voltage drops, as you know. It's not like a lot of the cars where the charging station charges the car, and then the LV system is charged up too if it needs it. Even on the DC chargers, it only charges the 500-600V cells. Turning off the batteries won't work because then you can't charge the HV battery pack for the truck's next outing. We know this parking brake is acting up but the dealer won't do anything until it quits working. They said it's fine and replaced the AGM's. I have actually left the trucks running while charging, it let's me do that! Then when it's 95%, shut everything down and turn off the kill switches. I was told I can't do that. So in this case, just these few, it's not technically the EV, it's the parking brake, but it's that much worse because you can't just turn off the battery kill and walk away.  To recap, the new Volvo's and Internationals so far, really not bad. The Paccar, not bad. Towing can suck though.  A lot of issues with the goodies, the A/C and the charging stations. And after a hurricane of course.
