and they did an excellent job hauling WITHOUT  computers/modules / and boost pressures and like the muscle cars of the day had an engine sound never duplicated today.  texaco oil ran a fleet of long nose GMCs having 318. living on the water near rte34 every night I could listen to the 318's climbing the hills waiting for the sound of the down shift.

It still runs and drives 

There is some old footage on video, before smart phones, possibly before mobile phones of me zooming about in it 

Young and full of hopes and dreams back then

I like it. L assume it was originally gas power? Is that a wrecker on the back of it?
