Pete,  S.S. is a soft metal. PAI has decent studs for sale.  What have you done to stop the leaks up til now?  Yes the lower studs go into the push rod bore, and you can hit the push rods if you dont understand the set up..  Can you elaborate a bit more? jojo

I haven’t done anything to stop it they have been leaking since I have owned the truck the last 3 years. Was just trying to figure out how to fix it. Yeah the steel ones pai make are like $12 but Mack wants $50 a piece for the S. S. Ones.

are the gaskets leaking exhaust?  if not, you can try to re-seal the lower studs.  remove them and clean the threads, then put High temp RTV on them and re-install..  It's a slippery slope but, you can try it.  Hopefully the nuts come off, or remove the nuts when the studs are out. They are m12x 1.75 thread, flange nuts..  the final torque is 100lbft, in 3 rounds,  25lbft, then 50lbft, then 100lbft..  I have had some luck doing this without removing the manifold and doing all 12, but like I said, slipery slope..  and hopefully the gaskets dont spring a leak..  one bad gaskets means the whole thing comes off..  oh,,  the depth of the stud is about 3/4''...
