He mentioned this site in the video too, I started following him around the time I followed his friend Diesel Creek. He's got a pretty cool Superliner II with an E9 he transplanted into it too.

I caught the BMT mention too@The Heinz!  I did a bit of searching but didn’t see any threads that mentioned a 79 with a KT. Perhaps Sam will see this and introduce himself…

I’m a big fan of both Sam and Matt’s YouTube channels.  My wife doesn’t understand why I enjoy the videos, but I tell her they are important as I live vicariously through these guys so I don’t have to drag anything home myself. 😎

There was only a short period where Mack offered Vendor engines ! The Kt was very close to loaded weight on a 12000 pound axle! We sold only one of these it was A 525 ! There were several 8 92 detroits sold here and quite a few 3406 went out as well ! I have seen a a Man in a Mack Think maybe it was a transplant not sure ! And also Scania was offered as a low horse power option back then as well!

In a Superliner? What were they, like 150 horsepower?

I think the Scania was just offered in the 400 and 600 Series DMs and R models. More power than 150. More like 190 or 210 I think.

I owned an MB with one in it, It was gutless as hell. I don't think I even owned it for 24 hours. It had an allison behind it and was really clean. Guy bought it for shuttling stuff between his plant and storage he owned like 1/4 mile away

If he cuts the frame and grafts some POS air ride under that truck I'll vomit. If you got to make it longer unbolt the trunnion and drill holes like a white man

I was going to say something similar but I remembered the guy looks on here lol. Hard to beat the short wheelbase "look" and if your going to make a Mack look like a Peterbuilt then you've missed the point.

I don't care if he looks on here, only an outright idiot would hack that frame in the middle. That trunnion will slide back about 4 feet and still be on the original rails. Then what you add to the back and your weld are in a low stress area. And air rides are for OTR freight trucks, on a construction site they are trash compaired to a single point suspension like a Camelback or a walking beam

What is he trying to do, make it into this?

i used to have a cat in mine,,,till i put the dog house back in,,,then he couldnt get in

Yeah there is some floorboard missing. They like to sun themselves in there. One time a mother bobcat and her kittens made a home in an old chevy van with the dogbox out of it, but I couldn't get them to come close. I could lure the mom in to about 25 or 30 feet with chicken after a while, but that was only if I was sitting down looking out the back garage door. I wanted one of those kittens bad lol

I heard that Richie that owned that Pete was a good guy through some mutual friends, But the drugs took over. Dead now unfortunately. He took on too much trying to care for his dying father while running that truck. RIP

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo for crissakes,,,,,sorry to hear that,, i can relate  running my own truck years ago and running around the clock, and trying to be somewhat of a family man,and homeowner hey??????? when do i have time to sleep??????,,,bob
