Popular Post Derrico Posted December 8 Popular Post Share Posted December 8 Hello forum members, yesterday the weather was right for a trip to our local salvage yard. We managed to get some parts for the B20 Mack. Parts needed were a right front fender, radiator shell, and shutters. Before the trip I had a chance to see if the headlights worked, and yes, they did. Time well spent while awaiting some tune up parts. The one in my pictures actually has four Mack trucks. Three are R-Models, one B and a fire truck. Many trucks of all kinds and farm tractors and machinery. As for our local salvage yard, there will be nuts, bolts and brake shoes etc. turning up for years. Aberdeen auto salvage is still there, but only open on saturday and by appointment during the week. John has gotten real sick and the guy running the yard for him has a full time weekday job. the two yards down the other end off Tyler lane are still open, and Midway auto wreckers is still open. Have you talked to Tony Desandro at Ace auto parts in Bensalem, he might know somebody. Let me know if you can't find it. You are forgetting about all the fluids spilled, and holes dug to bury anything they needed to get rid of. Going back 30 plus years ago everybody operated like slobs. I can think of a few guys cutting up utility transformers to get the copper and just letting the oil run on the ground.
