1990 R Model hole in dash between tach and speedometer.

Recently bought a 1990 Mack R Model, on the dash between the speedometer and the tachometer is a small round hole in the dash what is supposed to be in there? There is a small indicator light bulb that is illuminated back in behind the panel and I'm assuming that it's part of whatever is supposed to be in that hole. Help would be appreciated.

yup, parking brake on indicator light. 

the dash tends to overheat and fall apart from bulb produced heat, and the light falls out.
