I did notice that, wondered why there wasn’t a threaded hole underneath!  Thanks.  I’m guessing the ratio is stamped by the R? Says 7.00.  Seems pretty low to hit 72mph with 11-24.5 tires.

If that aux trans has an overdrive of about 0.66 to 1 that would get you to 70 something on 11r24.5s

No plate on the aux drive for the Cummins.  Always kind of irritating when people remove that stuff.  Ever seen the radiator plumbed into the bumper like that?

NO!!! But someone must have thought it would be some extra cooling???  The oilfield welders were artists at creating front protection!!!!

The truck vin may be stamped on the right front frame, rearward of the steer tire.  I dont know about this era, but it is common on later models.  I suspect a lot of air craft paint remover is in order..

@Brocky

What did Brockway call that? Was it the Huskydrive? Had a powerband like a Maxidyne

PT 270 was a power torque 270. Not to be confused with the "PT" cast in the fuel pump which was for " pressure time "  He's got some form of a Small Cam. With a turbo ???  could be a 270, 290 or a 335. Without a CPL , it's hard to guess. 350 had an intercooler as did a 400 Magnum. Judging by the rest of the changes to the truck, who knows what someone may have done to that engine, as guys mixed and matched those quite frequently. Pretty cool truck, no matter though.

Huskiedive

I drove one years ago. Had a 5 speed main and a wide ratio 2 speed rear. The ratio spacing was like a full gear, so you didn't split it. It was more or less just a low hole. I think Brockway called them CT270 or Huskidrive
