Popular Post cruiseliner64 Posted December 30, 2024 Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) Hi all,We had the pleasure and privilage of taking part in a show and road run to raise funds for the l Cancer care unit in our local hospital.A great day was had by all.There were about 30 trucks 50 vintage cars and Toyota Landcruisers and about 300 farm tractors.We got the honour of leading the trucks on the run as our Cruiseliner was the oldest and rarest truck there.We raised 25,000 euro (27,000 US Dollars) for the Cancer unit.For me it is a good feeling to give something to people who are in need as we have been blessed with good health so far ourselves.Picture show me and some of the guys who took part... Popular Post cruiseliner64 Posted December 30, 2024 Author Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2024 Yeah its plated for 150 ton operation.It was one of 40 identical units built in Allentown and shipped to Kuwait for a project that never was built.The trucks sat in Kuwait for 6 years before being sold off.A company in the UK bought 5 of them including our one but sold 2 off.Ours was bought by a owner operator who used it for heavy haul.After 3 years he sold it to a recovery company who didnt use it much.the next 2 owners had it for shows only.The guy we got it off showed it a few times then it was stored in a shed for 14 years.Its in really good condition and has 154,000 genuine miles on the clock.It is the only Cruiseliner in Ireland and we know of only 4 other Macks here.Heres a picture of her working when new paul 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/74915-charity-run-in-the-cruiseliner/#findComment-564994 Share on other sites More sharing options...
