Greg S Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM Share Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM The gasket that is between the cover that hold the oil cooler and the block is leaking on my 2013 cxu 613 Mack with a mp8. I watched like 4 videos on YouTube, they were all leaking in the exact same spot as mine. Apparently it’s a common problem . When I put a new gasket in, do I use any kind of sealant on it? The original MP8 side cover had a grove machined into it and a rubber sealing strip that went into the grove to form a seal/gasket. They updated the side cover to a smooth surface with a metal gasket with rubber seal made on the gasket.
