The engine number more looks correct in the built sheet as I used to see them. What was the spot you took the pic of your actual number? Mack used to stamp them into the top of a portion of an engine block at the right front of it.

Sounds like a great experience visiting the museum! Been there, done that:)

I wanted to go there when I was in macungie but after 2 full days of walking I was burnt out

The museum used to be right at Macungie back in the day. But it was smaller I think. I've never been to the Allentown Museum

Yeah that would be the ticket I’m good for quite a while but macungie was huge I have a minibike and a 3 wheeler security cart but I can’t just fold them up and carry them out there like George jet zen does with his car one of our City drivers used to live there and he told me they have a really cool old amusement park and lots of good restaurants Nevada this year I think I’m just going to watts it’s a lot smaller and lots of conversation haven’t decided yet

Around town here they have a service for two wheel scooters they are very small and very fast too bad. They don’t have anything like that in Macungie. I’m thinking of going back this year. I’ll have to check into that. Fedex sent me off with a little bit more dough than I would’ve thought And yes, I am not complaining.

The numbers on the engine, that I took picture of, were  on R/S lower block.   Sort of down between Air brake compressor and distributors.   (fire truck, gas engine, and hook & ladder so Air brakes.  Distributors (2) are where the diesel fuel pump would be)
