RD ?  yours ? this picture from last storm ? seems I've gotten use to sleeping in a bed while the snow is happening. unlike the many years of attempted sleeping at the garage on a chair or front seat of a non plowing truck waiting for next road call or incoming failure.

they were looking for plow drivers here a while back,,,i thought about it for around 3 seconds and said no i dont think so,,,too many stories of plowing around the clock, lol.no dice,,bob

HOW LUCKY YOU ARE/WERE. lol possibly snow plowing as in ::: sitting in a warm vehicle -big or small  having fun moving that F- - - in white stuff knowing you ARE getting paid, two quick == why me snow stories. 1= road call for plow truck disabled; I had to plow town road with company 4x4 in route seeing truck is sight, from short distance 2 kids on tin soccer's come down bank  from no where; it was seconds from me running them over!! 2= road call for skid steer down while plowing. ::axle shaft broke. all set up with welder on service truck ; no where to clamp ground,  coveralls wet from storm laying on ground I hold the ground cable on axle stud, touch the welding rod to axle center and I lite up like a Christmas tree. NO I DON'T MISS  blizzard road calls. LOL

course the blizzard of '94?'98 ? I did enjoy sitting on a TD20 for two days pushing snow into the river as triaxles  brought it in from town roads.

Sounds fun...I did have the welder experience. One cold wet winters night I was hauling a load of fresh fish which just had to be delivered fast. The trailer was an older refer with single leaf springs and a balance beam between the two axles. The tower on which the balance beam sat cracked so I decided to make for the yard and weld the crack. While doing the welding job It started to rain really really heavy.Dont know what I done but I lit up like the same Christmas tree!!! You would never get todays drivers to do even 10% of what was done back then. With welding done I headed on up the road for another 4 hours to unload the fish...Happy days indeed.
