What a good watch that was

Unfortunately for the human race, the places we like to live mother nature also likes to burn and flood

A lotta good old gear shown there

Thanks for sharing

History is ignored to suit and justify people's fundamentally wrong and selfish choices for their sole enjoyment of homes in the hills. We will have to pay for the increased insurance premiums. The commentary is clear, the FD could not and would never overcome the Santa Ana and fire and again in 2025. The area should be returned to nature and new residential quarters built in appropriate zones, without the risks. And the same for the houses along the ocean front, erosion will take the sand and whatever is there, so why build houses. We have the same issues here in Australia. Buyers have paid up to $AUS 30M for beachfront properties in Byron Bay. Not even 20 years ago there was a road between the properties and the water edge. Now the road is long gone and the sea is eating towards the houses.

Maybe time for a rethink!
