They looked great with a dump body . Not to say they didn't look good in other applications.

I had a C-114 tandem dump in the 90's. I think it was like a 72 or 73. Set back axle. I liked it

I have a picture of a beautiful '73 in my office. I know the family that bought it new and had it until the late '90s. When I was a kid, I had no idea there'd be a time I'd be putting heads on it. Never dreamt I'd be the guy orchestrating the sale of it either.  I have a soft spot for Diamond Reos

Diamond T was diamond T and reo was reo; mix the two is same as mixing jack daniels with wine. ????? the diamond T emblem and vehicle under it was great. at Mack started out with "57 Diamond T, not a combo T /reo.  just a thought.

Back when I was a kid in like 1980 the guy I worked for had a C-114 tractor 290 cummins, 15 speed deep reduction. It was early 70's so it wasn't that old, but it was all primer spots and had a hole in the left fender about the size of your fist. Nobody wanted to drive it. One older guy "Marvin" who occasionally suffered from something he called "wine cramps" used to drive it real local loading trailers and bringing them back to the yard.

So one weekend, I fixed the hole in the fender, sanded and primed it, then wet sanded it, and shot it in Mack Standard Red with some of that Kirker paint that mack sold for like 25 bucks a gallon. I'm no great painter, but the stars must have aligned or something and it came out beautiful. Then everybody wanted it, but no way was Marvin giving it up. He called it "My Pretty Red Truck" and actually started washing it, waxing it, and polishing the chrome

I personally have never seen a Rogue.

i always liked the Raider.

back in the late 80's i ran a Royale for a few weeks when the Mack "R" was in for engine service.

the Royale was a dealer "loaner: truck. it was traded in for a new truck, and they just left it on the lot to give out to people needing a truck while theirs was getting repaired.

that poor rig was rode hard and put away wet!!.

it had a 8V71 detroit in it with a gazillion mile son it with a 13 speed trans. the shifter was broke off sometime in it's life, and someone beat a piece of black gas pipe on the stub and welded the shift head onto the black pipe.

truck was a real pile, but it still ran good and never complained. only real issue with it was no power steering.

which made life miserable when trying to maneuver a trailer into tight spots.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Because of the picture I'd love to see a Rogue. The dealer must not have been able to sell it.First time Iv seen Make Offer on a new truck!!!!.The other Diamond Reo's you guys put up have really sparked my interest in them.I'll have to do more digging!!

White Motor bought Autocar in 1952, then REO and DT in 1957 & 58. In 1960 White closed the DT asssembly plant in Chicago and moved production to the REO plant in Lansing MI. White then was building Diamond T's, REO's and White 2000's, along with some special order heavy duty Whites on the same line at the Lansing plant using the REO cab for vocational trucks and the Autocar cab for OTR trucks. There could be 3 identical trucks come down the assembly line and drive out the door as 3 different brands!! May 1st, 1967 White Motor officially combined DT and REO and created the name Diamond REO... Then in the 70's White went belly up!!!!

That is going to be a real tall order I'm guessing. They have to have been extraordinarily rare, and of those probably none were saved due to their "undesirable" nature. Of the entire Diamond Reo Trucks Flickr group there is only one photo of one:

Thanks for that.I can see why they didnt sell that well.lets face it theyre not exactly stunning looking. My interest started with the picture my sister brought home from her holiday in Florida to her younger truck nut brother. It was only last year I discovered what type of truck it was.Still there has to be one left out there...maybe....
