I have a 94 ch613. Someone has gotten rid of the muffler and the pipe doesn’t sit straight. I’m thinking this long piece of flex pipe isn’t correct. Does anyone have pictures of what it actually needs or a parts breakdown from dealer?IMG_5036.thumb.jpeg.b2ef0fcc92a41d0bf6d4c79e98606dda.jpeg

i would put a 90 degree elbow on bottom of the stack, and let the flex run straight from turbo outlet pipe to elbow.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

I would start by putting a muffler back on. Make the 90 degree bend with an elbow fitting. Connet the elbow fitting to the flex pipe under the bunk.

Negative on that one. Guessing a muffler isn’t cheap. Just wanting to clean the bend up. Plus it sounds good 😎

I guess I’m mostly wanting to know if there are any factor brackets or shields missing to put a 90 on it. It’s awfully close to that air bag like it is also so don’t know if there was another elbow to get it away from that

looks of the black on flex ; there's tooo much tension on the bend , also this is a project not to be put off too long. no muffler going on then do a "build as you go" .. basically idea up what you want then go to a supplier for parts  available .to close to air bag - since it appear brackets have been welded on stand pipe = cut them off install new brackets which would bring exhaust out further, as been mentioned ; flex off turbo pipe HD 90 connecting to longer stack.

The little tab for where muffler sits has been cut off the stantion. It needs to be put back. The under cab pipe comes to the back of the cab, there is an elbow on the bottom of the muffler, and a 14"-18" flex that joins the elbow to the under cab pipe. There is also a bracket under the cab to out a ubolt through to secure the hard pipe..  the piping is 5" o.d.

That’s what I wondered. Would a dealer have a parts breakdown of where and what all that is?

The pipe under the cab, the elbow and the length of flex. As far as tab location goes, look near the top of the station for the upper bracket welded to it, the measure down and mark the station at the length of a standard straight through muffler body. Then weld a 3/4"x3/4"  peice of angle iron on it so its like a little shelf to set the muffler on when mounted. I see the bolt holes for the big muffler clamps are still in the stantion?

This picture may help you. Exhaust of an Aussie Valueliner, similar exhaust post to your Mack. This was the original exhaust from factory, no muffler.

Looks a little blurry zooming in on the bottom of it to see the elbows
