when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Yes but that went through the frame..

Look again, it isn't the frame, the alternator is wider and still inside the frame.

Oh hell, for sure.  I have been near a hand full of runaway engines, but never one that popped. Those came in on a hook. one E-6 we got would actually run. I was a new guy so therefore i was a witness as it was driven into the shop by a pro.  Yes, i was on speedy dry duty.

funny part about that truck is the same driver spit the same #3 rod out the block in the same trucks replacement engine one year later second time he only took #3 injector pump off.

Me and the guy help'n change it cut the rod off with a torch. Then we started it like that. We got bored wait'n for it to sieze up.

I had a F600 ford with a 361 that blew a rod out the side and it ran for a long time. I drove it a couple of miles home. And then moved it around the yard a whole bunch of times before I sold it to some kid that went to school with my brother
