Which motor do I have?

Sorry it’s a 2004 not 2006

Any Mack gurus in here that can help me motor wise. 

I have a 2004 6 axle Mack that I inherited and I bought a new motor for it. The old motor both heads covers were stolenn off so I don’t know what hp or serial number on it. I hired a company that has since shut down by the IRS to replace the motor. Before hand they bought a new motor. Now I’m having issues with other mechanics saying it’s not the same motor and that water pump location are different. I contacted the companyc CA trucks that sold the motor and they say it will work. Other mechanics say it will but will be to much money to customized it. I was under the assumption it would be a drop in motor. Can anyone help me and tell me what motor I have in it just from the pictures? I know it’s crappy photos but it’s all I have. One from before they pulled it and several as it sits now. Is it worth it to continue to even pursue it or just sell everything? I’ve been trying for almost 9 months to find someone who will agree to work on the truck. Most deny bc they don’t like working behind another mechanic when the old motor was pulled. Some pics of old motor and new one are posted

Reread most of your OP.  It sounds like the mechanics near you don't know Mack engines at all.  You can swap the water pump region setup from your old motor to the new one if they're different.  I'll have to look at my ASET AI and ETECH engines to see what kind of water pump setup they use.  I'm hoping you can find the new engine model on the tag on the valve cover.

The old engine is A CCRS, 2003. the next year would be ASET. The truck has an Allison, so wouldnt it be a 300 or 350 HP ? Too bad he doesnt have an E-Tech 350 to put in it.  Unfortunately, i dont know all of the numbers to help decode the mystery. When i was building these, i had a parts dept. to pick the right stuff, i would just check it against what i had, i guess i should have taken even more notes.. 🤦

Joey what are you seeing in the pictures that indicate it's a ccrs and not a ai? Am I not seeing something that you are? It looks to me like it's the original ai that came in it. What am I missing

AI is CCRS.  AI started in 2003, so this truck started life with an AI.

I'm guessing the water pump variant is for a particular chassis like an LE or MR, something where engine position to radiator shroud is different from typical.

I have a late 03 Granite with an AI that has the same water pump set up as his original motor

Gotcha,  late 03.  I seem forget some if this stuff, since i dont see them at the shop anymore.. 👍

Dont beat yourself over it Joey.We have a saying over here.."Use it or Lose it"  Simply means if you aint done something in a few years you may not remember all the details.No shame in that.....

I double checked the VIN and it is a 2004 Granite with the ASET AI350 factory with the Allison transmission. The water pump assembly looks like the following according to IMPACT:
