Joey Mack Posted Tuesday at 10:37 PM Share Posted Tuesday at 10:37 PM The E-TECH has a few more tests.. i suggested pulling the belts at first on a cold engine so that if you find it is not a compression leak, you can move on to other things. Puling belts is easier than changing the thermostat. Is the engine temp running at 180-185? Without issue ? Before i go into big work, i/we will try to keep it basic. This issue was a thorn in the side of the E-Tech, as well as us mechanics. What kind if shape is the air compressor in? In some cases, the compression issue was the compressor, which can be ruled out with a bypass hose or capping the coolant lines to the compressor, you can slowly flow water through the compressor head with a a garden hose if you think you need to extend run tome while testing.
