nice riding rig, aint it? i was amazed when i got into a 2015 T880 how much like a car it rode.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Paul, at least down under you got trucks that still look like trucks.

here we get the new Kenworth W990. looks more like a Western Star than a Kenworth.

Only hauled Texico gasoline for a couple of weeks with an R model. Mack the pay wasn’t that good and I had to get up at 1 o’clock in the morning to be down at the yard by four. Freezing my ass off loading the tank with gasoline middle of winter I didn’t last long. Only thing  good about it was the rig .. woohoo each other and Paul as far as I know we don’t make or  offer the W 900 anymore that looks like that

still miss my 2015 T800,i really liked the updated dashboard and guages door panel,,,from the previous model,,,even the dome lights were way brighter than they were,,,,you could actually see your log book at night,,,,but i dont miss working  lol

i hated the T800. cab way way too small for big people.

455HP paccar engine with a 10 speed and 3.36 gears is great for an over the road truck that never has to stop or climb hills.

i have a 565 X15 cummins with 4.56 gears and an allison RSD4500 trans in my 2024.. perfect combination for the local driving i do, and gets me 7 MPG average local driving. i am in 6th gear at 45-50 mph.

the 2022 with 565 engine, 4500 trans, and 3.90 gears stinks. have to go at least 60 to get into 6th. and gets 4-5 MPG local driving.

No doubt, the T660 got great fuel mileage. I always said if I only ran to Florida or Texas every week, which I did not, it would be a great truck.

It was just not the best suited for what I was doing. If it had 3.70 rears, or even 3.55's, and a 13 speed with the 485hp. engine it would have been much better I'm sure. I think 485hp was the biggest PACCAR available at the time.

Just because.... You guys that have over 30 years in a truck impress me.. 👍

30???

i beg your pardon!

i have 53 years behind the wheel and climbing.

i tried figuring out miles driven by miles on speedometers of trucks when i got out of them for a newer truck.

i got a headache and stopped somewhere around 2,550,000 miles.
