Regardless of what former brand name you resurrect. It takes years if not decades to turn a profit from all the R&D, design, tooling, employees, etc, and investors want their money back quick. You are right that today it is very hard to break into the market, even with a special specked assembled truck, as the regular manufactures make so many options available they cover the market.
