The front drive has 3 drain and fill plugs, the rear has 2.  Are you replacing the oil or topping it off??

Just topping up at mo as the drain plugs have seen better days so don’t wanna start messing with them at the mo. Is it the same oil for the front axle and the back ?

Same oil in both. The check/fill plug is at the rear of the banjo housing. When these rears have been filled, you only check and fill at that rear plug.  The oil is carried from the bowl throughout the carrier via the gears and troughs.... 🍻

Don't know about the the rest of the folks but I have never seen brake chambers like the ones used there! Are these common in Europe?

Not exactly like, but a version of our piston type spring brake chambers.

I guess in Europe, they know enough not to remove the bolts holding the chamber together with out caging it in some way, so don't need our idiot-proof non serviceable chambers that are required here,.

I have similar MGM piston chambers with the big snap ring on the rear cover/lid on my Marmon.

Yeah they are quite common over here in the uk. There’s so many different ones now. They are a lot easier to work with just unscrew the middle bolt to release the handbrake saves having caging bolts
