MIKMAK62 Posted April 7 Share Posted April 7 My 2004 CV 713 keeps shutting down while driving loaded when climbing hill temp gauge jumps from normal into the red. 4 out of 5 times when you pull over the temp gauge drops right back down into the blue or normal temp. and starts right back up within seconds. Yes if is full of Antifreeze and oil levels are fine, today it shut off and had to wait 5 minutes to restart antifreeze did push out of the cap on the reserve tank right in front of driver fire wall and yes I replaced the original tank with the updated one many years ago when Mack said it was necessary. I also replaced the temperature sending unit in the water manifold but I understand the ECU also has a temp sending unit if I am not mistaken?
