not temp resistant paint brother, its all black ceramic coating :)

Mark, my guess is he left the lines loosly in place to keep dust out while getting the manifold powder coated.

To my understanding it's a kind of powder coat, thermosetting and hight temp resistant.

Honestly not that much a matter of chemistry to me than a place they do it overhere. Haven't found any so far :idunno:

my understanding too, to be honest i hope it does something for the temps but mainly im a stickler and i hate rust ;)

Anything over here the cab would be in the way for sure.  I don't think there was ever anything here with an E Tech that doesn't have a hood except for the MR, and they're all packed in right behind the cab.  🤷‍♂️

The ceramic coating does work, heat, air flow temp etc. However, the work quality of the specialist ceramic workshop, the materials they use and following the right process is paramount to achieve the best results. If readers remember the Castrol Oil advertisement , "oils ain't oils". I paid top dollar to have the most reputable ceramic coating company do our turbo and manifold and 10 years later it remains in excellent condition, definitely no rust anywhere. And this company is still in business and excellent reviews.
