Were there common engine blocks for various Mack engines such as:

672(Lanova)-673-711(707 gasser)-675(Maxi)

675(Maxi)-743(stroked)

531(gasser) 707(gasser)

864-865-866-E9

Was the 743 block Mack's or Renault's

Was the Mack big six a one of a kind block- (should have stuck with developing this and dropped pursuing the V8's) although the E9 was eventually a good engine, all the other manufactures had success with the inline sixes. Detroit was an exception with their successful V series (emissions got them in the end)
